Originally from Akron, Ohio, Alyssa Whiddon participated in many theatrical performances growing up. She performed in all of her high school’s — Woodridge High School — musicals, was a member of Rhapsody Show Choir, and the lead singer of Northern Lights, the Woodridge Ladies’ Barbershop Quartet. After graduating from Woodridge in June of 2011, Alyssa continued her theatrical endeavors at The University of Akron, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Musical Theatre. Alyssa was incredibly involved at the University of Akron, being featured in multiple mainstage productions, as well as student productions. She was the secretary, treasurer, and is the current president of Theatre Guild, the UA theatre student organization. Alyssa is experienced in acting, singing, dance, and technical theatre, particularly sound operation and design. While attending school, Alyssa has been involved in productions produced by the Hudson Players, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, Rubber City Shakespeare Company, and Stardust Dinner Theatre. Alyssa also performs as a reoccurring, featured vocalist with MCM Entertainment Productions, in a series of cabaret shows. Alyssa is also listed with Pro Model and Talent Management, and hopes to attend the International Model and Talent Association conference in the summer of 2015. After graduation, Alyssa intends on auditioning for the USO Show Troupe, the “Liberty Bells”, in New York City.
